The Frederick Police Department's Street Crimes Unit charged three juveniles in reference to a tampering with M/V incident.
On the evening of May 1st at approximately 9:39 p.m. members of the Frederick Police Department's Street Crimes Unit were dispatched to the area of Cawley Drive in reference to a tampering with motor vehicle incident. Upon arrival officers were able to locate three juveniles who matched the description provided by the victim. Subsequent investigation revealed the three juveniles located were in fact responsible for the tampering. A search of one of the juveniles lead to the discovery of a marijuana pipe that contained burnt marijuana residue. Additionally, one of the three juveniles had been reported as a runaway earlier in the day. Due to the suspect's juvenile status identities are being withheld.
Charges forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice will include:
Rogue/Vagabond
Conspiracy
Possession of marijuana
Possession of paraphernalia

- Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times
- Ensure windows are completely rolled up
- Remove everything from your vehicle when parked
- Park in a well lit area if possible
- Install an alarm system and use it faithfully
- Report all suspicious activity to the Frederick Police immediately
