Frederick Police arrested Mr. Reynard Louis Cox for his involvement in an armed robbery that occurred on 04-28-2013 at Freestate Petroleum located at 1180 West Patrick Street in Frederick Maryland. .
On 04-28-2013 at approximately 1700 hours patrol units responded to the Freestate gas station located at 1180 West Patrick Street for an armed robbery. Upon arrival the clerk inside the store stated that a subject entered the store grabbed two cans of red bull and approached the counter. He requested cigarettes and after being asked for identification the suspect pulled a steak knife out, waived it at the clerk, and demanded cigarettes. The suspect then fled the store with the items and ran towards the rear of the business according to another witness in the store at the time. The suspect was described as a black male with a red hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves, and blue jeans.
A K-9 track was conducted and patrol units set up an immediate perimeter. Patrol units located a subject who matched the description in the area of the 1200 block of Ardmore Court. This individual indentified as Mr. Reynard Cox was positively identified by the clerk at the store. Additionally, officers at the scene recovered the items taken in the robbery.
Arrestee: Reynard Louis Cox; 08-27-1989; 1204 Ardmore Court, Frederick Maryland.
Charges: Armed robbery, assault 1st degree, theft under $100.
