Frederick Police are investigating a strong armed robbery that occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. in the downtown area.
On 04/27/2013 at approximately 0212 hours, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of the 100 block of N. Court St. for a report of an altercation between 3 persons. Initial responding officers were unable to locate anything. Approximately 10 minutes later, officers were flagged down by a subject a few blocks away and advised that this subject had been the victim of a strong armed robbery that had been the source of the initial call on N. Court St. Initial descriptions by the victim are as follows: the assailants were described as 2 black males, one heavyset, about 5-04 dressed in all dark clothing and a black baseball cap and one taller around 6-09 in a black jacket with a red hat. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries during the assault and was relieved of several items of personal property. . It is believed that the assailants were together and were possibly seen by the public at one or more bars in the downtown area. The investigation continues.
