2011 Annual Leaf Collection Campaign Extended
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Department of Public Works Annual Leaf Collection Campaign has been extended to Friday, December 30, 2011. Currently, DPW is working on a fourth trip around the City which is expected to be completed by midweek next week. A fifth and final trip will then begin and will be completed by December 30th.
After that date, residents can still dispose of leaves through the Yard Waste Collection Program. Leaves should be bagged in the large brown paper “Kraft” bags and set out for yard waste collection on the regularly scheduled yard waste collection day.
Residents and property owners that have a storm drain in front of their property are asked to keep the drain area clear of leaves. This will help reduce the chances of water backing up on City streets.
