Parks & Recreation Advisory - Baker Park Tennis Court Resurfacing Project –Construction Update
All Baker Park Tennis Courts Will Be Closed Effective Thursday, April 25, 2013 Until This Project Is Completed.
The City of Frederick’s contractor for this project, Mid Atlantic Tennis Courts & Supplies, has begun work on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
What this means to you as a user is that these courts will not be playable during the entire construction process. This project involves, but is not limited to, crack sealing, new net posts and footers, new center tie down footers, new court surfacing, new court lining to incorporate the USTA approved “blended lines” in the US Open blue and green colors, new fencing and various other small changes such as updated bulletin boards and signage.
This project will take several weeks to complete and we ask for your patience while we bring you new and improved courts.
The bulletin boards at both sets of courts will be kept as up to date as possible on the construction progress as well as the City’s website at www.cityoffrederick.com under the Parks & Recreation Department.
If you see anyone on the courts during the construction process that should not be there, such as people attempting to play, skate boarders, bicycles, etc., please contact the Frederick City Police Department at 301-600-2100. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 301-600-1493 or Kristi@cityoffrederick.com.
