On 04/18/2013 Det. Morgan with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Frederick Police Department arrested Teresa Grace Welch, the female suspect, in the February 2nd robbery of the BP Gas Station at 1111 E Patrick Street Frederick MD.
Det. Morgan was previously assigned as the lead investigator in the case and determined that both Welch and Perez participated in the robbery of the gas station. This arrest is the second and final arrest in this case.

On 02-20-2013 at approximately 18:59 hours, an employee of the BP gas station stated that a white male entered the store accompanied by a white female. The victim stated he opened the register for a sale, and the male subject reached into the cash register and grabbed a sum of U.S. currency. The victim attempted to stop the suspect by grabbing his arm and he was assaulted. A fight ensued with the male suspect and the employee. During the altercation Mr. Perez told the female suspect to “grab what you can”. The employee sustained minor injuries during this incident,
Det. Morgan with the criminal investigations division was able to identify both suspects in the strong armed robbery. The male suspect was identified as David J.Perez. On 03-05-2013, Mr. Perez was interviewed at CID headquarters. After being interviewed he was charged with robbery and taken to central booking for processing. Charges are pending in reference to the female suspect, who has been fully identified by Det. Morgan..
