On 03/04/2013, members of the Frederick Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Rt. 40 and Grove Hill Rd. Preliminary investigation showed that an E/B SUV failed to stop at a red signal and struck a mini van turning from Grove Hill Rd. onto W/B W. Patrick in a "T-Bone" type collision. The driver of the mini van was extricated by EMS personnel and flown via MSP Helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore . The front seat passenger of the mini van was taken via ambulance to FMH ER. Neither of their injuries were considered life threatening and the driver of the SUV was uninjured and cited for Failing to Stop at a Red Light and Contributing to An Accident.
