On 02/23/13 at approximately 2:27am Frederick Police were dispatched to an accident involving a pedestrian struck in the are of Center St. and Madison St. Preliminary investigation revealed that a male was lying in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on Center St.
The victim was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the striking vehicle was not injured. An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene to conduct the investigation. No further information is available pending the results of the investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
