Green Neighbor Forum
Frederick, MD -- A Green Neighbor Forum will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 8:30 to 12:00 noon at the Hood College Whitaker Campus Center. This exciting half-day program is designed to introduce home and business owners to practical steps to improve local environment, reduce storm water runoff, make yards more hospitable to local fauna, and more.
A variety of workshops are scheduled along with exhibits from local businesses. Participants will receive a copy of the Green Leader Handbook as well as other literature on organizations and resources. Speakers and exhibitors will remain onsite until 1:00 PM to answer questions.
The City of Frederick Neighborhood Advisory Councils (NACs) 6 & 9 are cosponsors of the event along with Friends of Baker Park, Friends of Waterford Park, Hood College Coastal Studies Program, Frederick County Office of Sustainability and Environmental Resources, Hood Environmental Advocacy Team (HEAT), Frederick County Master Gardeners (FCMG), Downtown Frederick Partnership and The Garden Club of Frederick.
