Following a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Monday, December 17th at 1:00 PM, The City of Frederick officially opened the central section of Monocacy Boulevard to all traffic.

Monocacy Boulevard Central Section Open to Traffic
Frederick, MD -- Following a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Monday, December 17th at 1:00 PM, The City of Frederick officially opened the central section of Monocacy Boulevard to all traffic. Three former Mayors; Jeff Holtzinger, Jim Grimes and Senator Ron Young along with representatives from eight City Administration joined Mayor Randy McClement and the Board of Aldermen to cut the ribbon. Zack Kershner, City Engineer brought this section of Monocacy Boulevard to fruition with today’s ceremony.
This center section completes a missing link of Monocacy Boulevard providing for a route from I-70/East Street to MD26 and on to US15.
