INCIDENT/ INFORMATION: On 11/28/2011, the Frederick Police Department received a report of an assault that they would like to make the public aware of.
On 11/28/2011 at approximately 2110 hours, a female was jogging north bound in the area of the 1600 block of N. East Street. When she approached what she thought was another jogger running in the same area. The W/M jogger grabbed her in the private area and kept jogging.
The suspect is described as a white male, late 20’s, 6’ and 210 lbs. with no facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baggie pants.
The Frederick Police Department urges members of the public to be cautious and alert for suspicious behavior at all times. For those who run or walk for recreation, or physical fitness, it is recommended that they vary their route and routine on a regular basis. Always remain alert to what is ahead and around you. If a situation makes you uncomfortable, turn and alter your direction prior to approaching. Exercising as a group is a measure of safety as well. Carry a cell phone if possible and do not hesitate to call the police to report any threatening or suspicious situation.
