City Begins Comprehensive Rezoning Process
Accepting Rezoning Requests
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Planning Department will be accepting rezoning requests from property owners as part of the upcoming Comprehensive Rezoning process. Only those requests for a zoning classification which is consistent with the land use of the property as identified on the 2010 Comprehensive Plan will be accepted. Property owners can submit letters requesting the changes to:

The letter requesting the rezoning should include the property owner’s name, address of the property, 2010 Comprehensive Plan land use, and requested zoning classification. To obtain the land use classification, the 2010 Comprehensive Plan Map can be view on the City’s website at:
There is no cost to the property owner as long as the requested zoning matches the 2010 Comprehensive Plan land use classification. The City will not be accepting request where the land use classification and the zoning request are different.
