After an extensive search, Mr. Tyland Leroy Rollins, who was wanted for a shooting incident that occurred in Frederick Maryland on August 26th,2012 was placed under arrest by the Rockville Police Department.
On August 26th, 2012 at approximately 09:10pm the Frederick City Police Department responded to Frederick Memorial Hospital regarding an individual who have suffered a gun shot wound. Upon there arrival they made contact with a male who had been shot in the arm. The victim stated he was in the parking lot at Windsor Gardens, an apartment complex located in the 1100 block of Key Parkway, when a he got into an altercation with four black males. During the altercation one of the subjects pulled a handgun out and shot him. He described the shooter as a black male, tall and chunky, dark skinned, with acne scars on his face and long dreads. The victim stated that he knows the shooter as “T.Y.”
During the preliminary investigation Detective Morgan was able to positively identify the shooter in this incident as Tyland Leroy Rollins from Rockville Maryland. An arrest warrant was obtained by Detective Morgan and a search for Mr. Rollins was conducted. A number of adjoining agencies were notified of Mr. Rollins' wanted status. The arrest warrant was for 1st degree assault and other criminal offenses. At approximately 1700 hours on 10-26-2012 authorities from the Rockville Police Department located Mr. Rollins near his residence and took him into custody without incident. Detectives from the Frederick Police Department took custody of Mr. Rollins and transported him to central booking for processing.
The victim in this case was treated for his gunshot wound and released from FMH. The case remains under investigation and anyone with information please call Det. M.Morgan at 301-600-1259
