Excessive Use of Police Services

In an effort to maximize the police resources available to the community and improve the quality of life, The City of Frederick enacted an Excessive Use of Police Services Ordinance in 2007. Please reference the program brochure (PDF) for an overview of the various aspects of the ordinance. View a detailed description of the City Code, Section 15-46(h) ordinance

The goals of the program are to encourage responsible property ownership, by educating the community on ways to improve the safety and well being; and address the challenges the City of Frederick experiences concerning excessive calls for service.
