The Special Vehicle Coordinator (SVC) is tasked with the licensing and regulation of taxicabs and licensees for the Taxicab Commission within the City of Frederick. This includes applications of taxicab driver’s licenses, and vehicle permits, inspections, and handling of taxicab compliments and complaints. The SVC is also responsible for issuing permits for horse-drawn carriages and their drivers.
