Land Development

Responsibilities

The Land Development division is responsible for reviewing development drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and to ensure that public infrastructure is designed per City Standards and Specifications.   In addition to improvement plan reviews, Land development reviews Cost estimates for purposes of collecting Project Inspection fees, Soil conservation district fees, and bond amounts.  One a project or phase is complete As-built drawings are submitted to Land development for review and once approved, the process to request release of bonds may begin. Land Development also completes engineering review of building permits to ensure that improvements meet City standards, and do not interfere with public infrastructure, easements, and/or right of ways.
